INLE Lake, Myanmar – Sanctum Inle Resort, a 94-room resort situated on the banks of one of Myanmar’s most compelling destinations, the storied Inle Lake, has clinched a coveted spot in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2017.
The prestigious North American magazine announced yesterday Sanctum Inle Resort was one only 50 resorts across Asia to make the cut in its “Top Resorts in Asia” category.
“This is a celebration of the Best in the World,” the Conde Nast Traveler Team said. “More than 300,000 readers submitted millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments, sharing their recent travel experiences of the world's cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, and airports – good or bad.”
General manager Philippe Arnaud said he and Sanctum Inle Resort’s team were thrilled to recognized by what industry critics deem the world’s most prestigious hotel awards.
“A destination as removed from the wider world as Inle Lake demands a resort where detachment and contemplation are priorities, and this award reaffirms Sanctum Inle Resort’s reputation as the first truly upscale resort to come online in this incredible part of the world,” said Arnaud.
